Help Prolapse

Boo Hiss .. When I went in for back surgery on the 17th, afterwards I found it extremely difficult to pee and the other. I had to press down, and still do, as though passing a bowel movement just to pee.

I felt something give .. And asked a doctor for an examination, which led to them telling me I had a prolapse.

Ive been told it quite urgent to be seen as its still causing bowel and bladder problems and some pain on standing.

I have a visit to a private gynae consultant on Saturday morning.

Has anyone else experienced this? What can I expect from the appointment on Saturday ... Apart from a obvious exam.

I've always done pelvic floor exercises as a matter of course .. They just come naturally to me, and the doctor who did my back surgery says there must have been a weakness there from when I had my children .. Twenty years ago. (I was cut)

Any help, advice or jokey remarks are more than welcome.

Thank you. Karen x

I have not had this but my mom did. Its been a long time and I can't remember for certain but I think its VERY important to get it taken care of..things can actually begin to protrude a bit. I sure wouldn't lift anything, etc. until you see doctor. Mom was fairly old when hers happened and the surgery was very successful.

Good luck, getting old is just one big BOO HISS.
