Has anyone had mastitis that healed without medical treatment? I had it a couple of times while I was breastfeeding my babies decades ago but I think I have it again after a slight skin tear to my breast that happened over a week ago while trying to get into my swimsuit at a hotel.
My left breast is very tender, and I am way past menopause, and this feels exactly like mastitis that I had years ago. I am hoping to avoid a trip to the pcp and yet another round of antibiotics. I used a hot wet towel tonight and it helped it slightly. It is very sore and looks a bit bruised at the most tender spot. Opinions?
