Default bladder therapy

Hi I wonder if anyone has done PT for failure to empty the bladder completely?
I wonder if mine is too far gone as has gone on for years and years. I hope does not cause any real problems in the long run. I have mentioned it to drs and not one said you need to do PT and get this taken care of so kind of let it go. I was to go two yrs ago but had to do knee therapy and then other therapy was needed so have not done this yet.
