I see postings on this ... how are you ladies doing that posted?
there are websites I am viewing now one called MeshAngel about slings I had one put in 2004 10 yrs ago I never remember a dr telling me anything about the problems these can cause. I wish my dr had not asked do I leak. I only did a little. I did the testing and they put this in with a total hysterectomy. Now I am so stressed and upset I can't tell you when the mesh can be felt that is called erosion but drs are not telling me I have that I have urine retention and was told 4 yrs ago it is not related to the sling another dr said it is I luckily have had only 2 UTI's I had 4 yrs ago a stitch repair and told that is part of erosion by another dr No one seems to tell me the same thing This hurts so much emotionally as I did not need this and to be told today by a ultrasound tech this is a last resort when nothing was offered to me such as pelvic floor PT. I remember looking up about this online but guess I missed the complications info. What is scary is doing something with the sling can be just as bad as not doing anything. I have several health conditions already that can and will generate pain and now this trumps them all. Did any of you do anything about your problems? |

Any of you that have slings in and are doing well
ask your dr about using vaginal estrogen the vaginal walls thin as you age and this will keep the walls thick my sling is coming thru this wall dr gave me cream but never told me why I should use it even as of late the dr said use it 2x a wk well I set it aside and you tend to forget maybe if I had used this yrs ago I would be better off now |
