Default Octuplets

Some docs are just after the money. I doubt if the doc did it for free

A single Mom living with her parents with six kids doesn't have money to pay doctors a lot, at least it doesn't seem like she would. You have to wonder about this case. Also, the parents declared bankruptcy last year. She won't likely get that many freebies from the baby suppliers like Gerber either since she has such an untraditional situation. I feel sorry for the kids. I hope she'll have lots of help.

Wiz, it doesn't sound as if she is going to get much help. The grandma sounds a little ticked off. I feel for all these kids. Maybe the sperm donor will step in and help out. The article made it sounds as if they knew him.

I agree with all of you.

Boy, when this story hit the news, I about hit the roof! The mother, in my opinion, is seriously disturbed but the doctor needs to be called on the carpet big time! There is no way he should have implanted all 8 eggs! There are guidelines about this.

Long story short, I went through infertility treatments over 25 years ago. But I never did have to go with IVF. I had a great RE and did have to take Pergonal. BUT...my RE monitored me closely. She was EXTREMELY careful...constantly saying she was trying to avoid multiples. I was, however, carrying twins but lost one in utero at 9 weeks. And that is just ONE of the many problems when dealing with fertility drugs and multiples.

The doctor that did this was soooo wrong and gives a bad name to the Infertility Specialists that REALLY care.

Obviously, she did this for the money; the doc/clinic too in my opinion. And even though the babies are doing well, they are in for a long haul. My daughter was born prematurely as well. I feel sorry for those babies and now the mom wants monies for her story??!! I wouldn't pay her a darn dime!

And people wonder why I am NOT for social programs. Here was a typical instance.
