Default Diabetes, not endometriosis

I spent 1 1/2 days in hospital. I went to ER for the pain that I spoke of before. My sugar was 450. It never went below 198 for that time span. Did you know that diabetes can cause severe right upper quad abdominal pain??? I didn't. Imagine my surprise when they announced the 450. With all the colonoscopies, barium enema and other female stuff they did, this could all come down to diabetes. They sent me home to follow up with my family dr to get my sugar under control. Now I have to figure out how to eat like a diabetic.

I'm sorry to read about all those things you've been through. I must admit I didn't think that abdominal pain could be diabetes induced, but as insulin is manufactured in the pancreas (which is an upper abdominal organ), I suppose pancreatitis should always be considered.

I don't know if you've found it yet, but we do have a forum for diabetes here on NeuroTalk, and I'm sure our members there will be only too pleased to give you some advice.

Here's a direct link for you. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum53.html

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, K. I looked for a diabetes forum earlier but couldn't find it.
