Default The baby factory

Just in case anyone is interested, Dateline is doing a story on the woman with the octuplets, it airs tonight.

Ann Curry interviews Nadya Suleman, who delivered octuplets on Jan. 26. Suleman sheds light on her headline-grabbing story.

Every time I see Ms. Suleman on television it's sadly obvious that she's basking in all this attention ....that she's getting for all the wrong reasons (something she doesn't appear to be hip to). This isn't about the kids, it's definitely all about her and she's treating it like her 'star turn'. ICK.

Thanks Cin, we have it set to record. No matter how we may feel about the mother, the fertility doctor in my honest opinion is at fault. He has a moral obligation to "do no harm" and no one will know for sure the harm done to these babies until they start to grow.

All we can do is pray everything works out. This isn't the only large family out there but it sure does stir up emotions.

LOL, Sarah, I actually thought of you when I was considering the title.

Bec, I don't watch that much TV, ever, so this was the first time I'd heard of an interview of her. All I've heard so far was that she/they accept welfare. Is it a form of Munchausen by Proxy? I'm interested in the psychology of a woman who is building her identity out of innocent little people.

Sandy, what really burns my butt is that I can't even find a flippin' affordable apartment for one!

And Shelley, what burns your butt?

What burns my butt is as a taxpayer in California I am supporting her welfare payment and medicaid and food costs and I have paid my taxes all year long and the state can't afford to give me my lousy state tax refund but they can pay for all of her care? I fully supoort those that need help but she crossed the line and I have no sympathy or empathy for her. The kids are another matter, they did not ask for this.

Personally I think she is not in her right mind and all of her children should be removed and given to parents who can give them the love they each individually deserve.

This woman should not think of childbearing and childrearing as a freaking reality show on TV.

Oh yeah and the doctor that did this should pay child supoort.

Oh, how I feel for all the kids. Some of the older ones seem to accept it as an everyday part of life. I just wonder how long it will take her before she ask for help from the Dad. With that many kids to take care of it going to take her more than a graduate degree.

She said that her life is all about the kids. She has 14 now. When is she going to find time to finish school and to actually go to work? She already has three kids with disabilities. The odds are that the preemies could all have them too.

In the interview it was noted that she has had plastic surgery and somewhat resembles and acts like Angelina Jolie. Can she just be copying a celebrity to get her 15 minutes of fame with all of these babies?
