Yes, I do think there are many food triggers too... at least that is true for me. MSG is a big trigger for me. It usually will increase or start burning within a short time for me esp at night.

Hot sauces made from peppers (nightshade veggies) can also cause burning.

And of course, histamine containing foods or releasers.
Histamine reactions and PN:

Hubby likes a vegetable dish he found at Trader Joe's... an Asian fried rice with veggies... last night that provoked a burning event for me, which I had to take Benadryl for. I avoid everyday Benadryl because it really dries me out...but it worked within 20 minutes for me.

So keeping a food journal may reveal triggers for pins, needles and burning.
