Haha! Blessings, why don't we make up some "Sorry, can't make it" cards using some of NancyT's legalese? That would really do the trick to help folks understand!
Maybe we could even simplify by adding possible reasons with a box next to each that we could just checkmark:
- Can't make it cause something has come up: my naptime!
- Can't make it cause I'm low on spoons that day.
- Can't make it cause I broke a nail and have a manicure appt.
- Can't make it because of a family illness: MINE!!!
- Can't make it CAUSE I DON'T WANNA!
