The only thing we can think of is this seizure caused some form of damage in the brain which made her psychotic. It's so sad. My cousin John walked in and she thought he was her deceased husband. Hopefully the meds will work. I have a feeling if they do she'll be on them for the rest of her life. I knew seizures could cause brain damage but had no idea it would go this far. :-( She did finally say "I love you too" to Jim. So, that tells us she was able to respond. She didn't know who he was though. Apparently psychotic episodes after seizure isn't as uncommon as we thought. It could go away with treatment or stay.
