Well I've been there and done that. I made the recovery disks right out of the box....YET I STILL RECEIVE THE REMINDER. I cannot stop it. Once I even went to where you start making the recovery disks and was told..only one set is allowed and you've used your quota. The reminder will not allow me to x it out, minimize it, delete it. The only way I can get rid of it is to go to the TaskManager and delete it. This is only a temporary fix...Within 20-30 minutes, I get the reminder again. I have an hp laptop using WIN 7. I may need some psychological help before this is over.... HELP PLEASE!!!

personally i use memorex dvd-rw disk on all my hp systems and drives.

go ahead and make the recoery disks and lable them with the date made and what it is and save in a protected disk holder.

it should only take one disk.

feel free to ask me any questions if you need help.
