I agree with everything Dealingwithtos said, and I would add, that soda crackers really helped me when I was feeling 'over acidy'. My theory was if it was white or tan, I could probably eat it. Any other color I avoided. Smaller bites and smaller meals are good too the stomach doesn't have to work as hard to 'chew' the stuff up. I also found that I could eat an Arby's roast beef sandwich because the beef is so thin. Only 320 calories and if I ate only half at a time, BONUS. They used to be on sale for 4 for $5 and my husband would buy a bag and that would be what I added to my cottage cheese, cheerios, tapioca, chicken noodle soup, and soda cracker diet.
Stress is the big thing, but some of us have genetics that work against us.
