Cymbalta is a (SNRI)selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, not just a SSRI and can have a different effect. I stay away from SNRIs...they don't like me.

I still think the old standby Prozac (SSRI) is the better choice, if you aren't allergic to it or have a bad reaction. It has the least sides and does not stay in your system long (halflife) so you don't have to wean off of it as you do so many other ADs.
