Well, one of the reasons your EMG was so painful was that you still have feeling in your legs. I am a "good patient", my last one was two hours long, I can lay as still as a corpse, with just the occasional twitch. Yes,I have a high pain tolerance, but i also have no feeling in most of my legs and that makes a difference!
For me, 45 was the year everything started running downhill, though I have had symptoms most of my life, they never interfered until then. I am 51 now, and lots of simple things are challenges.
Did you notice any improvement after the statins were removed? For me it made a huge difference.
