Well, I'm a recovering alcoholic and I can attest to the fact that it does brain damage. I have TOTALLY lost memory of about 15-20 years. Those were my drinking years. I cannot remember the majority of it - just bits and pieces. I drank heavily and became a blackout drinker.
Thankfully by the grace of God, and AA, I've been sober for 17 years - but not only does alcohol kill brain cells, alcohol just plain KILLS. God bless.
