![]() Hello all. My name is Alta and I just joined this forum. It was an emotional realization that I needed to seek answers about the problems I have been having. It all started Jan. 8, 2011 on the day in which I took a sinus pill that caused me the agonizing pain I am in today. A couple of days before that I was on Naproxen, but I stopped cause it was making my vision blurry. Well, immediately after I took the sinus pill, my right arm went numb and started tingling. I thought it would go away as the day went on but it didn't. The day after, the tingling spread to my feet and arms. To make a long story short, it is still happening till this day. To make things even weirder , I noticed that one Sunday the pain had subsided. Here is where it gets weird. I ate a bowl of ice cream and immediately the pain came back. I was dumbfounded. It gets weirder. Last Sunday the pain went away again for three whole days. Then while at skool I ate my lunch and then ate a cookie from Stake N Shake, immediately again the pain came back. What in the heck is going on? It seems as if food is irritating my nerves. That is beyond strange . The tingling is just about everywhere now and I have some occasional shaking in my hand. I am seeing a neurologist soon. Has anyone ever herd of this before? I am only 22 years old. As far as I can remember I was COMPLETELY FINE until I took that sinus pill. I am really concerned. I can't stop crying. Please help someone. Thank u. Concerned nursing student. |

OK, so a chemical triggered some other underlying inflammatory problem. I would even be wondering what set you up for the initial reaction to the sinus medication?
There are various avenues to investigate, but the most obvious, to me, and relatively easiest is to investigate food sensitivities such as gluten and dairy which are commonly associated with weird neurological phenomena. At the same time, I would concentrate on changing the diet, healing the gut, and trying to rid yourself of any possible systemic yeast infection. Make sure your vitamin levels are all healthy and hormone levels are optimal. Check B vitamins, free T3 and free T4, Vitamin D, Calcium, etc. etc. |

What was the Naproxen for?
Have you been to a general MD about it already? Thinking blood work up, basics....
