Hi, and Welcome

another member, Drew sent me some sunshine when I really needed it.

This group is very open, supportive and caring of each individual's problems they're going through.

I feel you do have reason to complain, but to who? damn'd if you do and damn'd if you don't.

Just wondering if e-mail communication could be worked into this reporting system. It's a whole lot less intrusive. The newer techno things are enticing to executives. And if you just knew how to use it... IMPRESSIVE. There are "NEWBIE" problems, so practice with another co-worker perhaps. two heads are better than one. be smart about it. (just remember, don't put anything on the internet you wouldn't want the world to see, or have to explain later in an employment situation)

I always appreciate the person who makes things right for me. The more generous, the better I feel aobut being disappointed in some way. I'm not a constant complainer, but I will if I have to, and I expect someone to make it right. So, to me, you're doing a GREAT job. Give more......

I'm glad that we have a place to talk about these things. Alot of people have a hard time talking about what makes them scared. This is a good place to talk. My life has been #&#*% because of depression, confusion,OCD,and anxiety, and panic disorders. I've been walking through this maze, minefield all of my life.

I've also had mean bosses who have taken advantage of me in many ways. It hurts to think about it.

What scares us,and why?

Lets please talk about our fears. I wish we had a forum for fears.

There use to be a Phobia clinic years ago.

I talked to a counsellor resently, and she said alot of people get a pain in their chest from anxiety. I told her that I don't hear people talk about it. She said alot of people have it,but they don't talk about it. BF

its really hard to please a person who refuses to be pleased.

1. WHY would this woman want to be called AT HOME to be updated? Thats just silly. it also displays a lack of confidence in her staff to handle things in her abscense, and if the place will fall down, and burn to the ground if she takes the afternoon off to have a cavity filled. She shows a clear lack of trust in ALL her staff, not just you.

2. Who cares if this man told his family?! its the goal to be accomodating of guests to GET THEM TO COME BACK?! yes? If this man is unhappy, he and his family, and his business partners will chose the hotel up the street next time. Late check outs are a matter of course when issues arise in many folks lives. Perhaps his plane would be delayed, and he didnt want to sit for 3 hours at an airport, when he could be watching a movie on TV. Perhaps he could catch up on business reports in the privacy of his hotel room, instead of trying to cram it all in on the plane, or in the rental car. Retuning phone calls is much easier from a room than a car. Doesnt matter why he needed the extra time, if he wasnt being rude, or a bully, it should be granted. period!

3. Please, know that seeking approval from this person, ISNT going to happen. The sooner you sit down and realize that its HER issue, not yours, the happier you will be. She clearly isnt happy with herself, and clearly carries alot of weight that she doesnt need to be carrying. Isnt that why you were hired? to take on these tasks in her abscense? Did you do a good job? did you do the best you could do without compromising your staff, or the company? Was the customer and the staff happy with the resolution? it seems the only person unhappy was this woman. So....what does that say? You could have been spewing sun and roses, and she would have said "people have allergies ya know, put those flowers away!"

stop beating yourself up. My number one rule is "never have a battle of wits with an unarmed man" she is completely unarmed because she is busy with worry, blame games, stress, and fear that she will have to take a fall for an action someone else took. how sad to live like that. I would pray she finds peace. she clearly doesnt have any.

You did great! way to go!

Sorry. My last post was off topic. I had a very unhappy boss who was always badgering me. She went after other fellow workers, and tried to make everybody unhappy. I put up with it for 14 years.

It could be that after you get home, you just want to get away from everyone. That's the way I felt. I left work aggrivated, and angry. My feathers where ruffled so to speak every night.

I was one of their hardest workers too,and I cared about the business. I felt satisfied within myself after a good days work. I still felt aggrivated. BF
