Hi Hudsmom,
I'm really sorry to read that the appointment didn't go very well. I had hoped it would have been more helpful.

Is your son actually having anger episodes at all? I asked on the TS forum what his anxiety attacks were like because it reminded me of my own son when he was little and when everything became overwhelming for him he'd end up having an anger outburst and that was even when he was very young. It wasn't the same as regular bad behaviour. It was totally different. I'm just wondering why your psychologist would suggest looking yourself in the bathroom while your son is having a panic attack...

Does what is happening sound like an anger episode?

Description of Rage Attacks

Triggers and pathways to Rage Attacks

Sorry if I'm way off track but am just trying to understand what's happening after your son has his anxiety attacks.

Hang on there.
