My left eye seems to twitch when I have anxiety, stress or lack of sleep. It doesn't twitch all of the time, but when it does it's aggravating. Do any of you suffer from eye twitching?

Hi ladyinpain,
Yes, when I'm overstressed or really, really anxious or really tired, I occasionally get a bit of a twitch around my eye that's called a fasciculation which is an involuntary muscle twitch. I've had them in my upper arm muscles near the shoulder as well. They feel a bit like a flutter and they don't usually last long. My understanding is that they're not uncommon. I take a few supplements, not many. One that I do find helpful for these is magnesium. Here is an old thread I started in the Vitamins Forum asking for help when I was in a really bad way during months of severe weather events in my area. There may be some helpful info. in there for you, ladyinpain. Magnesium and Fasciculations posts |
