I was lying down watching TV,and everything went dark, and I woke up later. It's scary when they say they can't do anything more for you. I've been on Ativan before, and it's addictive, but not if you where just on it for a week. The imaginations can run wild though, and obsessions can make you feel afraid. I've stood up,and sat down feeling like I was going to faint, and sometimes I feel a jolt of electricity flash through my body. I have the pressure feelings in my head, and pain in my chest when I'm tense. I have had a loud ringing in my left ear. I'm not sure when it started. Sometimes the ringing is a whistling sound, with 3 different pitches. It might be the seroquel. I don't know. Then the ringing goes away, then it comes back. I understand what you are talking about, and the helpless feeling that you feel when those panics come. When my panic attacks started,I felt like I was going to die, then I'd go into that panic zone, feeling like a gray cloud had come over me. At these type of times,I cannot think of anything good. They say it's a biochemical imbalance, and inherited from the family tree. No one understands it if they haven't been through it. I hope that your family are giving you love, and support. This type of secure feeling of being loved will help you. I have learned a few things that help. There are some verses in the bible that I read, and I pray for help. My friend,my heart goes out to you in sympathy. People don't understand phobias unless they have been through them. People that I know, and family members get this subject all mixed up. There are so many misunderstandings that happen with phobias, and trying to get understanding from people. I have multiple anxiety problems on top of the phobias. I have OCD,and some sort of learning problem. I have depression,on top of focusing on what people are saying, and etc. I understand. Brokenfriend ![]() |

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I can get this sorted out, hopefully. Until then I may end up back in the ER. I just don't know what to do anymore and I know they are tired of seeing me in there. Thanks for your support and love and I hope you get better! |

I've drawn graphs of my head, and shown it to my nurse practitioner where these pressures are. I don't think that these professionals know what that is. I feel a stiffness in my forehead, top of my heard, back of my head, and right back behind my ears. My neck has been so stiff,it has freaked me out a number of times. The feeling that I hate is a strange feeling above my eye's,that goes through to the top of my neck, and my neck starts shaking. Then I feel strange when I shake like this. Hang in there. Let me know what the Doc tells you. Don't be troubled if they don't understand what you are going through. I've been facing alot of misunderstandings about these anxieties for a long time. They know alot more then they use to,and there understanding is growing by the day. Brokenfriend ![]() ![]() |

It's their job to take care of you in the ER. Don't ever feel shame about your condition. You did not choose to feel these panics.
I also get a pain in the middle of my chest sometimes, and sometimes my throat gets stiff, and sometimes I don't feel like I am breathing right. It may last for several hours sometimes. Did you see that movie"What about Bob"? Bill Murray was walking around with a fish in a bowl, and had panic problems. Richard Dreyfuss was the PDoc. He was selling this book called "Baby Steps". Humor is good as you know. Brokenfriend ![]() |

It turns out I do have a real medical issue. I ended up going to the ER again and they confirmed that I do actually have mild dehydration and need more salt in my diet. So the previous doctor was correct. Luckily, I was given a sheet to use to adjust my diet and get more protein, and much more fluids.
5-6 glasses a day or more was reccomended, and I'm starting to feel a tad bit better. It will still take 2 weeks for my body to get back to normal and for the faint feelings to subside. I still have anxiety that I will faint, and it's really scared me into avoiding simple things like taking a shower (I take a bath instead) or get up too often. Even sitting sometimes I feel faint. Then again, I'm on Xanax now, so while it does make the panic attacks go away, it also makes me dead tired so it's kind of bad that most of my days for the next 2 weeks will be like this. Afraid to get too active and always having to watch myself. Like getting up slowly, not turning too fast, etc. |

With me it's the seroquel. It's made me feel weak, tired, and not feeling like doing anything, which is not like me. Brokenfriend ![]() |
