Hi everyone we are new to the site as my Son has just been diagnosed with Chiari 1 with a syrinx. It was obviously a big shock as we had never heard of this condition before. Joe was born a Tof oa (Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula) and had a repair done at 5 days old.
He has Asthma and has often suffered from Reflux, Choking episodes and wheezing and breathlessness at times, these are all symptoms of Tof but as I understand it are some symptoms of Chiari. Joe has had a rotation head movement since he was a baby which was thought to be 'Tics' which is why he was MRI'd in the first place, if anyone has similar symptoms or storeys I would love to hear from you. |
