One member on another health group is suggesting that I could have auto immune disease and a doctor back in 2014 checked this # and on a range of 0.0-13.9, my # was 9.9 (RA Latex Turbid).
I'm going to dig deeper into this as it was NOT discussed again and this MD is on a medical leave from her work, so I'm seeing another MD but can't get there for a while for some new labs. Comments Please. I have a couple friends who deal with RA so I'm going to be probing them with ???, anyone hear know the factor numbers and RA etc, |

One friend sent this link explaining RF factor and it's informative and says a person can show up with low RF # and not have RA. I've had two fingers with nodules for decades but other 8 fingers are just fine. So I have a "mild" RA it appears.

Some background about Rheumatoid Factor (RF):
RF is an antibody, usually of the IgM class, which usually binds to the Fc region of IgG. Because of that it is called an autoantibody (it recognises a normal body protein, IgG in this case). In the case of RA the resultant immune complexes contribute to joint damage. Elevated RF levels can occur in people with other auto-immune diseases (eg, SLE and Sjögren's Syndrome). Elevated RF levels can also occur in many other diseases which do not have an auto-immune component; leprosy, syphilis, malaria, leukaemia, hepatitis and cirrhosis among many others. High levels of RF are present in 80% of people with RA and 70% of people with Sjögren's Syndrome. The clinical significance (if any) of elevated RF levels in the other diseases is not clear
