This is just a classic study, great study. I have a friend who had no idea about it and she just had 2 knee replacements!!! Yikes.
******************************************** Effects of doxycycline on progression of osteoarthritis: results of a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial. CONCLUSION: Doxycycline slowed the rate of JSN in knees with established OA. Its lack of effect on JSN in the contralateral knee suggests that pathogenetic mechanisms in that joint were different from those in the index knee. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1...ubmed_RVDocSum |
