Question Easter Seals?

Has anyone used or had any help from Easter Seals? I had gotten some mail from them asking for donations and noticed they were have a drive for Autism. I've heard of Easter Seals but didn't know they dealt with or had anything to do with Autism tho before Adam was diagnosed I didnt deal a lot with Autism either.

Today the counselor Adam see's told me I should call the regional center up again and see if they will evaluate Adam again and provide services for him. I asked them back when Adam was 6 ( almost 6 yrs ago) to evaluate Adam for Autism or Aspergers and they sent him to thier "specialist" and he felt he didnt have it tho said he had some "other" neurological disorder that will get worse as he gets older and said his "stimming" was called Stereotypic movement disorder . So the regional center wouldnt pick us up as clients because he wouldnt diagnose Adam with ASD.. . The Psychiatrist Adam see's now knows this "specialist" and DOES NOT like him. Our Psych did diagnosis Adam with PDD-NOS (6 yrs later) and so our counselor and the psych told me to call the regional center up and told me to tell them Im still having problems with Adam and that he was diagnosed with PDD-NOS and that I want him reevaluated.

Just wondering if anyone had dealt with the Easter Seals and how do they help?

Thanks,
Gina Marie
