Wisest Elder Ever

We got home last night,,,our cats were so happy to have us home....they continue to be very vocal almost scolding us for leaving them ...they do this every time we get back from a vacation.
I took the day off work today to try to unpack, do laundry etc....the christmas decorations will probably come down this weekend. Overall we had a very nice christmas break.... I really enjoyed spending time with my family at my sisters house. WE weren't able to sleep unfortunately due to the creaking bed and probably won't stay there again. We usually sleep with a fan and perhaps we should have brought one for the noise...wonder if there is a noise machine that you can buy? WE went on-line to find a sleep noise site and found one but made the mistake of useing crickets which also contributed to not sleeping... I stayed too long with my inlaws...will try to spend more time with my family next trip in the summer. ~sigh anyway... Glad to be home back to my routine...which helps keep me sane.... Jeff and I are doing better.... thank you again for the well wishes! bizi

Dear Bizi,
You sound like you had a good trip. It was good enough that you can look forward to the next one. That's a successful trip in my book. Here's what I have done for noise. These 2 items might be easier than traveling with a fan.  White noise maker: you can probably find cheaper ones than this one from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Marpac-SleepMa...?ie=UTF8&s=hpc I bought two white noise CDs from Amazon but can't find them there right now. In fact I can't find them at home either.http://cgi.ebay.com/Digital-White-No...QQcmdZViewItem I sleep with a fan and about half the time I sleep with foam ear plugs -- sometimes just on one ear! Some of the devices other than these have 11 second repeats (for example) and could drive me batty. And those nature/natural sounds? Not helpful. Mari |

the small 980 sounds perfect...for the road travels...our using the fan at home works perfectly on low...blows into a corneraway from us...really just using the noise. bizi
