I am headed to see if I need a change of antibiotics this morning.

I don't believe the one I'm taking is working.
Sending healing thoughts your way and hoping those docs and labcoats get with the program and set your antibiotic straight!

Well I got a antibiotic in shot form to see if it can give me a jump start.

And then changed the antibiotic, and gave me a much stronger cough
medicine. I have never heard of the penickinic or whatever is in it.

But I can take one teasonspoon every 12 hours.

I am eating and drinking. And the other thing that they did was
make an appointment with my primary for next week.

He did also tell me that because I have diabetes they don't like to give
steroids. WHich I was really glad we had this talk, because I didn't know
this. And its something I've been on a lot in the last few years for these
bronchitus messes.

But I wasn't diagnosed with diabetes then.
I also got told to really watch my sugar levels, so I am.

Heart Dear Donna

thank you for the update.

i bet the shot will be helpful. it sounds like they took really good care of you - i am glad for that. you are the best, and deserve the best! they gave you useful information as well which is cool... docs are not always so forthcoming with information .

anyway, i hope you are able to get some rest tonight too, with the new cough medicine, and that you feel much better tomorrow.

(((hugs)))

Dear Donna,
Yeah I had a friend with diabetes who took steroids sometimes and I remember hearing that steroids raise blood sugar.

The TV show ER had three episodes with a patient who initially tried to mislead the doc about the blood sugar history in order to get steroids. I remember those episodes because the doc was worried about the blood sugar but the patient was concerned about the steroids helping with another condition. There is often a push pull when there is more than one med.

Are you taking the medication tonight or waiting for tomorrow?

I'm glad that the doc is taking care of you. Soon you will feel better.

I started the medicine today. I will take a second dose of the cough medicine
if I'm still up at 1am. Or when I wake up later coughing.

I'm doing somewhat better right now. But then I should be.

I had a shot and a antibiotic tonight.
