Mari,

I too fight sleep a lot but for the past couple of months I have been sleeping rather well. I worry about how I will work with my sleep problem and I admire you for holding a job with yours.

Muscle relaxers will knock me out too.

Default hypnotist and anger

Hi,
It's very frustrating.
I was barely functioning at work Wed and it was quite obvious.

I might try some small meditation exercises at home that tdoc gave me a long time ago. This will get me into the practice.
Then when I will see her, we can do some useful hypnosis.

Seeing her lately has not been useful enough for sleep -- part of my anger.
We made useful progress in summer 2008 and then reached a another huge block. . . . no sleep progress since then.

I have been considering dropping her, but I might try the exercises again.

You guys have a good mattress?
Is that room put together, finished un packing, calm, colors cool and cozy? is it cool enough to snuggle under the covers.
Do you like your bed room? is this where you were trying to create some sacred space?
Have you done this?
Sleeping is something that we do where we let go of control...maybe this is a control thing....maybe you are trying to control it>
I dont know.....
I sure wish that you had some epiphany and were able figure it out.
I am sorry....

Beth's post above - totally relevent! ( I like my room to be about 20 C so I can snuggle under a soft, soft quilt with cotton voille cover and pure cotton filling.)
I LUUUUVE my quilt!

Default Thank you. I don't know what to do. I don't want to go to bed.

Hi,

It does not matter what meds the pdoc could give me.
I would refuse them --- I have a huge huge amount of anxiety related to sleep.

The bed, the temp, the room, the covers are very nice. I learned about that years ago in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My bedroom is a very nice room.

I do not have a bed time routine -- that goes to heck -- can't explain --

It is a life long problem that I remember at least from teenage years . . . .perhaps earlier.

I'm falling apart.

I am sorry that you are falling apart.
what about your chinese health care worker you used to see was it for accupunture or pressure ...have you ever done reflexology? helps to open up blocked areas. Maybe you could try a reike healer...they lay hands on you to help open up chakras...I think.
this is alternative stuff but I think you are open to that.
Have you been to your yoga lately?
can you do yoga at home comfortably?
do you dream when you get to sleep?

Default pdoc today said it is psychological

Hi,

I saw pdoc today.
We briefly talked about sleep.
He said the problem was psychological and to check with my sleep neuro.
I see sleep neuro in a week or so. I'm not interested in dealing with sleep neuro or his PA.

I did call the acupuncturist for an appt. I last saw her Oct 2009.
