and i bet it would be no easy task to get up on a ladder and hack off any overhangs with a chainsaw... dangerous work...especially now that it's alrady rainging and slippy slidy every where you guys would risk hurting yoruselves badly...

:Sigh:

how can ppl be so callous. I'm beaming thoughts of that tree... into her yard... hey you know... wonder which way you'll get wind from Lee... it might just blow some branches into their yard... or onto their car, or rooftop... or who knows... take out a couple of yard dwarves... :D:cool:

~ waves ~ huffing and puffing to blow that thing t'wards your neighbor's yard!!! snigger snigger.

Bizi,
Call the city. You might have zoning laws to help you with the tree.

Did they say up to 20 inches of rain????!!!!!!
Texas stays dry for now. :(
Stay safe.

thanks you guys, never thought to call the city...hmmmm
the storm has been over hyped...I think the storm is falling apart...at this point..it is not even raining. We did not even get 1 inch of rain. We shall see as the day progresses tomorrow...they have moved the warnings further east toward alabama lines...someone on the blog that I follow said that the remnants of lee could possibly become an issue with katia in the future....again alot of this is a wait and see.
I will post more as info becomes available.

I think the weather channel said that new orleans could get 10 inches...again we willhave to wait and see.
good nite

Bizi,

Thanks for the update about rain going somewhere else. Georgia could use some rain -- its drought conditions are severe.

Urban areas in Georgia could get flooding.

the rain has finally hit texas, beaumont...the storm is widening. We received 1.5 inches of rain over the last 6 hours. New orleans had 6 inches of rain last night. We have a moderate rain right now. The winds have knocked down a couple more limbs from our neighbors tree...afraid to see where they landed.
We are heading south to morgan city for the shrimp and petroleum festival. Most of it(the arts and crafts and food vendors) is under an over pass so will be protected from the rain. Something to do...have a great day!
