I think i read today that there had been like 22 tornadoes from lee. I think that is what I read.
stay safe steve.... bizi |
Most of the bad weather went to the West of me,and to the East of me. The Blue Ridge Mountains breaks alot of these storms up by the time they get to me.
If the bad weather came in from the North,or South,I would fell more of those storms. Thank goodness for the Blue Ridge Mountains in my neck of the woods. .....but.....The earthquake center was in the next county over. .....But..... I thought that they where cool. If they where a 7,or 8,that would be a different story, and it would have damaged everything around here. BF:hug::hug::hug: |
Thanks, Steve, :heartthrob: I was wondering how the rest of Lee affected the East. I'm glad you are safe. M |
Hey Mari.
At this time it seems to be going all the way up to the lower part of Maine. It goes West of there to Lake Ontario. So the whole North East part of America is getting soaked again.
It's been such a slow moving storm. Di. Are you OK? It looks like Pennsylvania is getting soaked again. BF:hug::hug::hug: |
computer game of life v totally nutz
I keep thinking of that (Japanese?) businessman who wanted to tow icebergs to the Middle East desert countries to supply water. I think that's why I dreamt last night that I pulled up the Weather Channel map, clicked on storm front & former T.S. Lee, dragged the whole thing over tha state of Texas (whose size & shape it fit exactly), & dropped it.
Fire problem AND too-much-rain problems BOTH solved:yahoo:. Yeah, I can see the appeal of Life 2.0, if it's got those sorts of possibilities. Life 1.0 seems so sadly self-destructible:Sob:. |
we have had gorgeous weather, feels like fall. going to heat up again this weekend.

rain
Hi,
I know someone in drought stricken Oklahoma whose walls are cracking and foundation buckling due to dry weather. Texas houses are the same too . . .water mains are bursting and asphalt road splitting Here we have rain tonight . . . part of a system that will be over us for EIGHT days. Did I say, "lots of rain?" men not paying attention
HI
I told hubby Friday night about lights out in certain parts of the city I drove through coming home (total darkness on the roads). I told him on Saturday to help me organize the flashlights. We are under a Sever Weather Alert. He's not alarmed because the rain and wind seems to be everywhere in our region EXCEPT our particular little neighborhood. We are fine tonight, thank goodness. Around 11:00 pm tonight I prompt him again. Finally, he and I spend a couple of hours going through our flashlight /battery / radio storage. . . We find the big cooler. I tell him if the lights are off he is not to open the fridge. http://bestsmileys.com/weather/1.gif I'm so p'd off. We could have done this in the day time instead of messing with my "bed time." Someone please tell me that there is nothing wrong with my wanting to keep the two of us safe and comfortable. M |

Wow, gal, consider yourself told! Moreover (& I'm quite sure any non-bi-polar totally "sane" person would agree): Keeping yourself safe is right; keeping yourself comfortable is wise; including him is love. B.C.G. :circlelove: |

I am sorry for that. There is nothing wrong with your wanting to keep safe and comfortable. It is still hurricane season. bizi |
