Thank you very much, Mari. Very bad few hours here. It got much worse. More to come overnight.

I ended up putting my empty fish tank under the leak from the roof into the linen cupboard. :o

The water got close to my back door but didn't make it in. All is good. Maybe.

I am sorry for all of your rain. Has the roof leaked there before, how did you know it was leaking in your linen closet? Must have been scarey witht he rain so close to your door. that is very scarey.

Thank you both. I'm OK. Just tired.
It's calmer this morning. We received 350mm in 10 hours. That's almost 14 inches in 10 hours.

bizi, my place has been added on to another house, so there's a different roof on my place than on the house. It leaks where they join. I have a few places where it leaks but it's never leaked into the linen cupboard before. I opened it to get a couple of old towels out to put down elsewhere and I felt a splash. It was really fast running drops. The owner knows about all the leaks here but has never done anything since buying the place just over 12 months ago.
