Dear Bizi,

We are probably going to get a new roof. We have to get the paper work (home owners' association, city hall permit, and such) before we can proceed.

Bizi,
I would go back to renting in a heartbeat. We bought because hubby wanted to. He is very happy here.

Maybe it is different for people who live outside city limits. The city will approve the roof in the beginning and then probably inspect the roof and generate more paper work after it is done. Then we will have to show the city paper work to the insurance company.

Hey Mari.

Our tax dollars at work. :Noooo: To much red tape to make a repair. Are they going to charge you for their approval to do this? I don't know about these kinds of laws. BF:hug::hug::hug:

:hissyfit: :Bawling: :Bang-Head: well, i hope he is just as happy dealing with all that paper work AND staying home to deal with roofer dudes traipsin' around while you sleep.

meanwhile best you shop for some good earplugs AND muffs (i would seriously do both)... Creepers. :(

if only we could acquire extra sleep and store it like we store vitamin D, B12, ...and... ADIPOSE TISSUE!!!!

Waves,

Oh Yeah. Hubby is the one handling the paperwork, but (and there is always a but) I have to talk him through the steps. For the first signature I had to explain the following
1 first talk to the friendly neighbor who knows everything because she has been here forever.
2 ask her for the phone number of the person on the association board

Then I politely called person number 2 to inform her that we are in the process of purchasing a new roof. I asked if hubby could come over for her signaure. She said yes. Hubby did that.

Hubby returns.
This person wants a sample of the tile we will put on the roof. (argh!)
She wants to actually hold the tile in her hands because she does not trust that the roofer we are using can look at the current tile on our roof and use the same color.
Then we inform the roof guy we need the tile in our hands. He has not called back.

I have good foam ear plugs. I used to have silicone ones. I do not remember that they worked better than foam.
Do you suggest ear muffs something like these.

Hey Waves I live about 200+ miles away from the beach. The kicker is I don't like driving through the Bay Bridge Tunnel that goes under the Bay.

I had some good feelings about looking at the Beach, the waves, the people walking down the boardwalk, and beach. I found a bunch of live web cams that show different beaches.

I think that it was 2 nights ago that I saw a full moon rising on a East Coast cam. BF:hug::hug::hug:

There was a thunderstorm in my neck of the woods yesterday afternoon. It was a one of those thundering storms, with allot of lightning. At on time,I heard a explosive BANG!!!!! Loud. I heard something that I never heard before. It sounded like it went back up into the cloud with spurts of 4 vibrating sounds,at 4 different levels going up. I've never heard that before. I can't explain how this sounded going back up. It went bang,bang,bang.bang....Then further up bang,bang,bang,bang....Then further up Bang,bang,bang,bang....then at the highest point, and not as loud bang,bang,bang,bang....Then it disappeared. That's what I heard, and it was about as interesting as a thunder clap gets, without hurting anything. It struck somewhere in the backyard, but all was well after I inspected it later.

I was praying for the Lord to protect family members, and their properties from lightning, tornadoes, microbursts, hailstones, and high winds. BF:hug::hug::hug:
