Indiana has honestly been very luck with this stuff the coast have gotten
and I for one really appreciate it.

We get the mess when it comes to snow, ice and the other things that
can come.

But that is normal for us.

Here comes a winter storm that the weather channel is calling Brutus. If it makes it to the East Coast,it may be the third storm scenario to hit us. BF

You can see Brutus on the "Noaa mosaic national radar". I saw the others on the "Intellicast-Atlantic satellite in the U.S." BF

The Great Lakes may energize this storm so that it makes it to the Northeast. I hope not. Some people are still with out power from Superstorm Sandy.

In"Astronomy Picture of the day Archive",there is a place that shows the trek of the Storm Sandy. It's 6 posts down. It's 2012-Nov-07. It's a fascinating youtube style view of where the storm went. BF

Gosh where Sandy went, I think it sat over the PA and NY area about 4 days. Before and after, nothing but cloudy skies, even blustery days. I felt so bad for those without power or homes.....feels like its going to be long Winter!
Hang in there, looks like we're in for a bumpy ride!

Smile Total Solar Eclipse Tues

Hi,

There is a total solar eclipse Tuesday:

Quote:
Several different organizations will provide live webcasts of the total solar eclipse, which begins at 3:35 p.m. EST (2035 GMT) on Tuesday (Nov. 13; however, it will actually be Nov. 14 local time in Australia).
It can be seen in Australia.

Solar eclipses are of interest not only to skywatchers but also to scientists, who use eclipses to gather astronomical data. Eclipses can be especially good opportunities for obtaining information on the solar corona, the sun's superheated outer layer.

"We get to study the motions and dynamics of the solar corona, the variations in temperature, the effect of the solar magnetic field on the corona, and other aspects that can only be done from the ground during an eclipse—not from a spacecraft," Pasachoff told NatGeo.
