On Friday around 6 PM,we had a really bad storm, like most on the East Coast. Tree limbs are still on telephone wires,Trees where uprooted, and the forest areas are loaded with damage.

This county is building a new Fire Station, and allot of it's construction material was blown across the road from the Friday night storm.

There was a storm about a month ago that blew down trees, and tossed limbs everywhere.

These storms have been happening for thousands of years on the planet. We don't have records of the storms that happened two hundred years ago,or before.

There was a medieval warm period in the North Atlantic region, and including the China area from 950 AD to 1250 AD.

It was followed by a cooler period in the North Atlantic termed the Little Ice Age.

Some call it the Medieval Climate Anomaly.

Can you imagine the horrible storms back in those days that are not recorded.

There where also climate changes 4,000 years ago. Think of the storms that they had. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Steve,

I DO feel lucky when we can face the power of storms with knowledge and perspective and technology.

I had been aware of the recent storms in your area. I am glad that you are o.k.

Mari.

Mari I agree. It's also nice that we can talk about weather from the past, because we don't have agendas, and we aren't making money by scaring people with books, and lectures.

I truly don't know what the weather is doing. There is so much hype.

I am concerned about the Atomic reactors in Japan that are leaking into the ground water, streams, fish, and ocean. I don't know to much about that. BF:hug::hug::hug:

My part of Indiana has had much flooding. Thankfully not me.

But Kokomo got hit bad and so did Lafayette. And my little town
was too. But luckily not my house.

I am still getting lots of rain in and out daily.

Its been going on daily and not daily. Ugh, I'm tired of rain.

So lets hope we see sunshine soon.

Bizi,
Those of us in the U.S. will miss the eclipse.
I hope you see the full moon Thursday night. After I came home from work in the dark I stood in the drive way and raised my arms to its power and thanked it.
