Thanks waves, I really appreciate it. The situation isn't resolving yet, but hopefully soon we'll have our answers...What a headache! Luckily though the migraine went away, then the next day, Thursday I think, I had a shadow migraine where the one was the day before, but yesterday NO headache or shadows, and today so far so good. I think it was menstral related. I hate getting older....:(

i get menstrual migraines too but they started when i was 17. my mom says they might go away after menopause! :eek: she says since she went through menopause she has hardly had any headaches, those she has had were with a precise and easily identifiable cause... i guess there can be fringe benefits to aging :o:rolleyes:

recently a pharmacist asked me if i'd ever been suggested magnesium, and that it can prevent or reduce menstrual migraines, by taking supplementation for 10 days before menses. i usually take magnesium but i didn't have a very good source until recently and i've not been using it for other reasons so i can't say if it "works." but what is interesting is for a while, i had stopped taking any supplement whatsoever - and my migraines got worse/more frequent. so i thought you might like to try that.

I feel so depressed right now. I just want to sleep but Jackie is home sick so that's not happening. I really hate things right now. I just hate it. :( I feel l like life is always gonna be this hard, and I hate it. Wishing things would get better, surely they will, in time, but for now its still a daily struggle. :(

So I found a great alternative to smoking cigarettes and Jack is gonna use it to stop smoking cigars, Mom on the other hand is still smoking mini cigars and freakin' inhaling on them at ten times the rate Jack smokes them. I am really depressed about it because we offered to buy her a kit for this and she told me to save our money. *Sigh* This has me down along with other RL concerns like the monthly budget. *Sigh* does it ever get better? I sure hope so. :( But Jack is supportive enough, most of the time. We've argued a bit more lately, nothng fierce, but enough I spent the last tdoc appt in tears thinking bad things again....Meaning about leaving...*sigh* I just don't know what the right thing is to do....

Your post started off great about the alternative to smoking good for you for trying to quit. I did not know that your mom smokes mini cigars, that is unusual. Wish she would quit but can't make someone do anything unless she wants to and she doesn't want to.

I gave up smoking in 2005, but Jack smokes cigars still and that's why we're gonna get a vaporizing kit, it's really better for you because you don't inhale burning tobacco but get flavor and even nicotine from it so that's probably gonna mean Jack is successful at stopping the filthy part of his habit. Now mom? I have NO clue why she started on mini cigars, she went from smoking cigs to those and it's really sad because of the state of her health. :(
