Default Checking in

Been a rough week or so. Sorry not to have been here for so long.

I have missed getting on the computer and all of you. Just couldn't seem to get here though.

I lost a good friend this week. We had buried her husband of 25 years last Oct. I'm second mom to their daughter. So I was there for her and helping her fiancee get her through that. He had lung cancer and we had watched him go for several years.

Shortly after his passing we found out she had stage 4 liver cancer. I wasn't ready for her to go, but know she was ready to leave. It was so hard as I know Dee was not ready to let her mom go and she as the youngest was having to be so strong for her sisters.

I held together until after the funeral and after Dee left to go home. We live about an hour's travel from each other, so don't get to spend as much time together as we used to.

She has come so far I know how proud of her her mom was. Dee has found a regime without meds for her bipolar that is working for her. And the flighty immature young lady is now a very responsible mom. Oh, how her mom and I used to talk and worry over her, oh how happy she was when we knew Bella was on the way and how Dee seemed to grow up over night.

And when Bella came and changed her dad into the man that Dee always knew was there, but he didn't show to everyone else.

And during all this round two with the power company. My bank contacted me over it. Seems we weren't the only ones that had problems last month. Thanks to their effort, when I called to make this month's payment, I was able to get the customer care person to refund the disconnect, reconnect and deposit. Billmatrix said it was all due to a timeout with my bank's computer. The bank said that the records show, and they are sending me a copy of it, that the power company reversed the payment.

I was going to change companies but the one that quoted me the $50 deposit, sent me a letter saying that they couldn't do it for that and the deposit was now $250 and it has to be paid up front. So that will have to wait until after the taxes on the house get paid.

I'm going to try to feel more up to being online. I haven't done much except check my email and get off for about a week and some days not at all.

I just seem to get on the computer to play solitaire. I guess because I'm not remembering to take my meds everyday. So much going on I get distracted so easy.

Have missed you all, I'm doing better. Will miss Rosa, but she is out of pain and with her husband again. I just hurt for their family, a very large one.

Dear Madd Tatter,
It is nice to see you again.
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
It sounds like you have already sort of adopted their daughter and might be seeing more of her.

I am amazed when I hear about people playing solitaire. I stink at it. Maybe it is relaxing. Also, I would bet that it keeps the mind sharp.
