Dear Donna,

since he is already degreed, he wouldn't have to do it all over again in CS.

can he take a course in programming? a beginner's course, and see if he likes it. he might want to talk to the instructors first to see if he has sufficient aptitude to take a more challenging course ... see what languages/options are available.

the first step is learn a programming language - any, and you know, the concepts, flow control etc.
nowadays it has got more complicated with very articulate technologies etc...

one think you might do is check the ads in your area to see what is sought and what level/type of training is sought and go from there.

I wish Devin well. a course might be good just to get him out of the house. Computers if he likes that. but i mean even if it were basketweaving... ya know?

((((hugs))))

The biggest problem with the ads is its experience they all want.

And he has degree's in industrial maintenance not computers.

One more temporary job starts tomorrow.

My hope is it turns to permanent.

He doesn't think it will. And they told him they didn't know how
long it would be.

But a mom can dream.

DiMarie

Yes, This is just what this family (my son's needs right now)

I sent him home with a check to cover the second vehicle's
insurance. Because until he got a check, his girlfriend
would have had to drive it without.

They have always paid me back. So there is no problem.
Its more important that he has it insured.

I really think this might be the job. We will see.

Oh, Donna, I pray that this small step will prove to be that important first one to a well-deserved future for these kids. Especially for you. I think you're just about the hardest working mom I've ever known. Guess for some the nest will never be empty, but somehow you deal with it.

May you have a sense of peace now, however brief.

You guys are so nice thanks.

Love ya.

New avenue starting soon.

Derrick is giving notice at his job.
He is tired or bored of it.
Or just something, I knew it was coming, just wasn't expecting till
next summer or fall.

But life will work through this one. And its not that he depends
on this money.

He will just need something to fullfill his need to work.
Voluteering is okay, and we have some thoughts.
Going to talk about helping the elementary art teacher.
Or maybe at one of the preschools.
