Trig I have a concern (women stuff)

I have a concern. I suspect I might be pregnant. I will know for sure if I do not see my friend on the 12th of this month. I am on Lamictal 200 mg. I found out that Lamictal is in Category C listings. So that made me feel a little better but the risks are still upsetting. I am on a low dose below 500mg so supposedly i am at low risk according to my research. If you all know more or care to share some info with me feel free.

Has anyone ever used lamictal during and after pregnancy? If so how did it go?

Other than that I have health insurance now, I am going to go see a doctor on my day off and make sure I notify my tdoc and pdoc. I hope things are going to be alright. I am a little scared but also excited! I just hope my medicine doesn't do any harm is all.

Hey there !!!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on the baby !!! aw... I love pregnancy, babies, and stuff... maybe someday I... anyway,

I found this article which might help you: http://www.bipolairplatform.com/file...iatry_2007.pdf

Also, I was reading Lamictal can cause problems of the lip, palate or both in 9 of 1000 babies of mothers taking lamictal...

Basically, level C means there might be more benefits of the med than risks... but still...

I have no idea but I'm a woman too so I share your concern. I'm sending positive thoughts, many prayers, & hope you'll keep us up on what you learn.

Thank you so much! I read it and it is pretty much what I read in the other articles I have read. Which confirms that they are sources I can trust. I think I am going to be fine. I actually read experiences on the medicine of other pregnant women and their babies seem to be very healthy. I think I should alright I am at low risk. But we will see on the 12th if i am or not. Body is sending some funny signals.

Default I was tricked!

Never in my life would I of thought my body would play such a dirty trick on me like this. Hahahahaha wow! This morning the real cycle started. That is the weirdest experience ever! But that is good news either way because now I can work on getting a doctor and not worrying and stressing out! I am going to prepare myself.

But I am little disappoint too because if I was I would of been happy. Stressed out a bit because of concern, but still happy and excited.

I feel plain silly now. But other than that Thank You to everyone who helped me and gave me some good instructions on what I should do and how to go about it. Thank you for encouragement and support. The information was extremely helpful and did cut my worries in half.

Sharla

Heart I'm so sorry, Sharia.

Awww. You seemed ready and happy. You're right that our bodies play dirty tricks. IMO all too often. But I forgive mine when one produces a perfect birth--an overwhelming miracle.

You are right, of course, this will give you opportunity to be fully prepared when pregnancy does happen. Takes away that tiny niggling "what if" that now will not have to haunt you.

So, celebration? Hugs?
