Default reporting ... day 2 at 50 mg

i am taking my dose in the evening, so, today was day 2... i only just took my 3rd dose.

i felt a little odd. tense and a bit restless. i hope this doesn't increase, this is a bit early for tenseness to show up. i wouldn't expect it until maybe day 5.

i also have a sore throat and slightly productive cough which i might have to have seen. geez things just keep piling up. health and bureaucratic things i'm not doing ... piling up higher, and higher.

AND AS IF THAT WEREN'T ENOUGH........

my folks' computer just started acting up again which means i have to open it up and at least look at a couple things before dad goes and takes it to another crack "guru" who last time ripped us off and broke more than he fixed.

dad gets super antsy when the computer doesn't work. today he woke me up turning it on and off on and off until i clued in to what the racket was and got up and yelled at him. he has no patience when it comes to that, but right now, NEITHER DO I with anything! i just want to be LEFT ALONE!

i don't need no stupid stinkin' broken computer to have to mess with. pthhhh.

waves, you are just amazing to be trying to help ginnie when you are in the midst of a bad depression yourself. As my mother-in-law would say, "Bless your "

I hope you continue to have success with the Zoloft, with few side effects. My husband is now up to 75mg of Zoloft a day, and is doing well so far, with no ill effects. I hope you will have the same positive results.

Default Day 6 - 50 mg

about to take my 6th dose of 50 mg. it is Saturday morning. Saturday would be my 7th day but i shifted dosing forward 12 hours to morning dosing, to try to improve night restlessness. so day 7 will be tomorrow. i just realized that.

i still don't sleep enough at night and am exhausted in the day. sometimes crash, sometimes not.

also i have had chest pain since day too and it has not shown signs of improvement so far. i can tell it is the zoloft because it builds up and then eases off between doses even though i am close to steady state by now. yuck.

OK.... i opened the stupid piece of junk computer. as expected, nothing "visibly wrong" (like a loose adapter, flaky wires... nothing).

it has always has problems and they have got worse and worse. imho they're best off replacing it. but they first need a UPS or imho they will eventually fry anything they plug into our wall. the current here is flaky. falters sometimes, peaks others. surge protectors protect from PEAKS, but only within specified range, and they do *NOTHING* at all in case of DIPS in current. i told them the computer gets conFUSED, emphasis on FUSED. but noooo.... UPS = more "junk" in the house... DUH.

i am so frustrated with this. and with rehashing this problem over and over and over and over. and each time they look at me and go "the computer is acting up again." ARGHHHHH!!! And NO, we don't have (trustworthy) repair shops/people we can go to, although i frankly think we are beyond that point with this poor machine.

~ waves ~ tired and irritable and wishing the chest pain would stop.

Unhappy

I am very sorry to hear about the chest pain, have you noticed this before when you have taken the zoloft? Or did this come out of the blue? zoloft has been a good antidepressant for you for a long time maybe you are having cardiac issues? could this be the case? am sorry you are having them irregardless of the cause.

Red face i hope this isn't confusing.

i took Zoloft several times spanning several years, without chest pain or breathing problems even during titration.

Chest pain is a known side effect of Zoloft but i had never had it the way i had it this time.

It has remitted over the past 2 days (WHEW!)

------------------

LAST TIME i took Zoloft, when i went to 50 mg Zoloft, i had intermittent bouts of chest pain that came with difficulty breathing, sometimes lightheadedness, fatigue. i was always weak and tired. some bouts came out of the blue, but any activity would trigger one. eg: brushing my teeth i would get out of breath and weak to the point of feeling faint and having to lie down.

i felt it was unlikely to be the drug as i'd had bad spring allergies with chest pain, coughing/difficulty breathing, fatigue. i thought it was "just" my body acting up on its own.

NOW GET THIS:

i saw, only last night, that Zoloft can cause BRONCHOSPASM!!!!

well i'll be darned! how did i ever miss that back then!

so now, my theory as to what happened last time is that i likely had bronchial sensitivity from my earlier troubles and was probably predisposed to this side effect of the Zoloft, but that it wasn't "just" my body, acting up all on its own.

------------------

THIS TIME, chest pain was constant and without accompanying respiratory distress. i had an easier time with allergies this year although i've had a bit of cough. i do find myself panting doing things that normally wouldn't cause it, but not like last time. could just be fatigue.

The chest pain has seemed directly related to the Zoloft since it got worse during the day, as the drug peaked, and then slowly better. first time for everything, i guess.

------------------

in the past, i've had lucid dreaming with Zoloft titration. i love that. unfortunately i have had no such luck this time or last. oh well.

Zoloft is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get!

Dear Waves,

I do remember your mentioning chest pain in the past. . .

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...ght=chest+pain

That's good that it has remitted the past two days.

Wow.

Is it possible that this time you are paying more attention to the peaking and non peaking of the Zoloft?
'Sorry about the lack of dreams. . . . I know you like dreams.

These drugs are weird. We never know
1. which side effects will show up
2. in which set of circumstances they will show up.

I'm glad you figured out what is going on with the bronchial stuff.

Which day on the Zoloft are you? I guess I can go back and look. . can't right now. Slept. Up. Now sleep again.
