Yes, this would be one example of what ADD would look like. Because they say you have to be doing things all the time. And you can’t concentrate. But in your instance it sounds more like you want to do stuff so you can concentrate. There is another idea. It would be sensory integration also. This you would look has checked out with an OT.

It's probably some ADHD going on there. Not to bad, but sometimes it seems like too much chatter.

Default Curlydawg... about the brain noise...

i agree it sounds like an ADD-like feature if it is a constant, but if it is not problematic for you, no need to do anything about it.

on the other hand if it is episodic that would suggest more of a manic symptom, especially if the thoughts seem to race... jump from one to another. in that case, or in any event if it is bothersom to you, discuss it w/ your pdoc next visit.

some folks have dual dx ADD/Bipolar ... there's a questionnaire screening you can do.

but having a few or even a lot of ADD-like sx does not mean you have ADD. brain function is unique across individuals and these "features" need not imply pathology.
