Is chinese food bad for you? I always thought if they left out the MSG that it wasn't so bad with all the veggies and all. Just curious.
Hope you are doing OK today. Still hurt today, where the injections were for dental. I do not know why I am so sensitive to this. It takes days before the pain goes away. I go get my MRI results this afternoon, and am having trouble not being nervous. Take care, ginnie |

Well I didn't get good news about the MRI. My condition is worse than I thought. I actually have a law suit if I had money I would. I have been left to suffer these past 7 years. My former foot and ankle specialist didn't know what was wrong, and this new doc. who did the MRI could not figure that out.
I have torn achellies tendon, torn post tibial tendon, this pushed the heel bone outward and colapsed the ankle. No wonder I have been in pain. I have major surgery on May 2nd, to re-build the foot structure. It isn't the leg bone, or the foot bone, it is the structures that support the foot that colapsed. After three weeks no weight bearing, he will fuse my toe joint. Can't replace that as the failure rate is too high. fusion is best option. then it is 4-6 weeks in a walking cast, followed by intense PT. My summer is shot. thats just for the one ankle. He doesn't want to investigate the other foot, until we finish fixing this one. To tell you all the truth, after going through the two cervial fusions, I am feeling sick to my stomach about this. Very queezy finding this out. I know I needed to know what was wrong, but I wish it wasn't this serious. Why can't I just get a cold or something, why is it with me everything has to be a major deal. Feeling overwhelmed, depressed and scared. I will need you all, no quesiton about that. Gotta get a hold of my emotions right now, maybe I need a good cry. ginnie ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thank you for asking. Yes this new guy is a foot, ankle and leg reconstruction specialist. I had seen two other ankle specialists, and neithor one of them believed me when I told them how much pain there was. They never did the MRI to really find out. I found this doc. on my own by researching the best in the country on the internet, and found my doctors teacher up in Ohio, he referred me to his student, my current new reconstruction specialist. I was heading for a wheel chair and had to try. Glad I did, but now I have to do this surgery. Oh boy....I will be back tomorrow. I am actually going to bed now, emotionally I am wiped out. I sure will be needing all of you. I am so glad I found good friends here. ginnie

The good news is finally something will be done. You will just have to force yourself to take things easy. Prepare all you can do ahead of time so you will not be tempted to do things that are a no..no. Glad Nan will be there for you. You will just have to learn to take it easy; you may actually enjoy having a good reason to do so. I know easier said than done. But you can do it. Think of the positive....No Wheelchair for you!!! You will have many Guardian Angels protecting and comforting you. In fact, one of my Guardian Angel's is on the way. If you listen...you will hear the flutter of "wings" . As always, you are in my prayers. (Ger) Last edited by ger715; 04-13-2012 at 09:51 AM. |

Your angel is welcome here by me. I will need him. The flutter of wings came by during my sleep I think. I have to settle down a bit, as my stomach won't settle down. I know this surgery is as complicated at the spinal fusions were.
The good part is I will have three weeks to be here with NT to help some other people while I am laid up. Nan gave me some hugs last night and told me not to worry, she will be there for me, to cook, clean and nurse me once again. Oh Lord, am I blessed. she does not let me wallow in a pity party for long. She reminded me once again this morning that this is indeed hope.... Lots to think about Gerry. I am OK, called the stomach doctor, and we will see what he can do about the Gerds. Meds. arn't holding right now. My emotional state makes my stomach act up. I will take a nap later on. It has been an emotional rollar coaster, and someday I hope the ride will stop. Thanks for caring Gerry. It was a blessing to find you and NT. ginnie |
