Heart

Dear Donna

i am glad Will came through fine with the tonsils. i think the not wanting to drink/swallow may be normal. i had mine done at 4, and i didn't want anything not even icecream. they had made a tiny cut in my tongue by accident and it hurt. i don't remember a lot of things from that age but i remember bits from the tonsil dealy, including keeping my tongue curled where it hurt, and my parents bringing icecream, and my refusing it.

good luck with your meds. the state only covers a few of mine, the rest are out of pocket. i can't have triptans because i can't afford them. i have to pay for nsaids out of pocket and they are not cheap in the amounts i take, except for indomethacin, which is not always effective and can give me bad side effects. generic gabapentin helped with prevention, but it is out of pocket and it is expensive. i can't even use it now because my depakote dose is still too high to combine with it. i should try to get an exemption for migraines as well as for bipolar, then the state would cover more stuff - probably not triptans though. but right now i just can't even handle embarking on that process.

all that to say, i understand about not being able to afford meds and being stuck with compromises or without stuff you need.

i hope your insurance kicks in soon and takes care of a good chunk for you.

i did pretty well on citalopram - i hope it helps you.
