New need for prayers. One of my families, has a need for a case conference.
Just got word that the TOR person in charge of his case. Died last night,
I don't know why, but he was in bad health I believe. Its going to be a while before the conference happens.

Ugh this is not good. We really needed this. I have to figure out what we are going to do now.

Hi not so much prayers for me now.

I am just having times with migraines. But I did make a appt with
my migraine doctor. So I go in a couple of weeks.

I have been scheduling workshops again. Which is good, so
I have three this month. And I usually hate to schedule any in
February because of weather. But we will see. I need to branch
out on my own.

My co-worker usually still helps with these. I need to stop depending
on her so much. So I might schedule some in the county I need to
do them in she isn't close enough to come to.

Then we will need to work on March's.

i also hope your migraines go quickly or that your doc can tweak your meds. shame the Neurontin doesn't help you - would kill two birds with one stone for you. it did me. however, i could not double up doses and it took 1200 mg a day, divided in at least 3 doses, better 4. (4 x 300mg).

crazy weather always makes migraines unpredictable too doesn't it. mine are predominantly menstrual so at least they help me predict something else... hee hee.

good luck with all the work planning. i honestly don't know how you do it.

I take topamax or the generic for mine. And it works pretty good
usually for mine. Just not as well lately.

I also take verapiml for it and blood pressure. So I have to figure it out.

yah, i asked about topamax because of the cost of gabapentin, and the PITA dosing schedule... but they wouldn't script it! they said, if the gabapentin works, use that. when i asked for a comparison she said topamax "just has nasty side effects" and didn't elaborate. i know some of them, but i would have preferred being given the options... e.g. I COULD USE SOME WEIGHT LOSS!!! (not hair loss though.)

she offered a small dose of amitriptyline but i know that can knock you out... i need something where i can be more functional, not less. i want to see my pdoc's friend/neuropdoc to see whether

1. i can get a state exemption for the cost of any migraine scripts - they really add up, month after month.
2. i can try a triptan (eg imitrex) - might not be possible with zoloft, or dose dependent. those are really really expensive, but if they work, and the state covers the cost, that would be ideal in terms of productivity especially if i get a wave of nasties.

i need something where i don't have to take several days off work or be a doozy on the job or a class.
