I have read that you are supposed to check your doctors notes and make sure they record completely and accuretly. That is impossible!!!! I would never feel right, worse, I can not imagine a doctor putting up with that. My therapist says they just check to see if you are going and taking your meds but I read that they really go through the whole process and examples in your records are needed. but there are really only records on intake and maybe a yearly report, not much else unless you go to the hospital and I avoid the hospital even when I really should of gone. A doctors note that I can't work is one thing to get, the demands of what the SSA wants in detail make my head spin. They can't take xrays and see inside my head. I wish they DID spy on you, maybe then they would get it. thax for listening, this is all I can do. |

Maybe this can help:
I was my oldest son's Rep Payee, That means I took care of his money. He now holds a job, because he wants too. But at the time, they didn't think he would be able too. A doctor of their choice had decided he was unable to work. And had given him the SSI. So every few years they did a update, by calling me and asking me questions. About whether he was taking his medication, going to his doctor appts. And if he was getting the help the doctors thought he needed. In regards to seeing a psychologist for his anger. I would answer the questions. He never had to talk to them. At one point they might have decided to talk to him by sending him to their psychiatrist again. But it was mainly to see if he was still unable to hold a job. But he chose his pattern to go and get a job. And has been able to be successful. I remember you said. You tried, and couldn't do it. This is in your record with their office. I also have a sister that is on SSDI. She has held more than one part time job, and also got SSDI. She will never be able to hold a full-time job. For many of the same reason's you can't. She feels the need to have something to do. So she tries to work part-time, after 2 to 3 months at the most, she ends up usually leaving each job. And it doesn't effect her SSDI, it just goes in the record. Once again her depression and anxiety caused the need to quit a job. Hope this especially will help. Donna ![]() |
