Default I am tired of hubby coming home at whatever time he wants

Hi,

I just told hubby on the phone that if he is not home inside the front door of our home at 12:00 midnight, he should spend the night at his friend's place because I do not want to see him.

At 6:00 am this morning (Sat.) he told me that he was going to go to a three hour work shop and would be with his friend.
When I called him to ask when I can expect him. He was late.
I called later to ask for an update on when to expect him. He was late.

I told him I need to plan my day.
I told him he could stay as late as he wanted as long as he picked a time and stuck to it.

Jerk.

My day stunk.
I ONLY WANTED TO KNOW ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.

Unhappy

I would be upset too.
It is very inconsiderate of him.
You have every right to be angry with him.
relationships are hard work.

Bizi,

I was not angry but I was frustrated.

When he came home twenty minutes late at 12:20, I tried again to explain to him that I need information that I can count on. He seemed to understand after a lot of talking.
It was hard to explain that he can have as much rope as he wants as long as I am informed and as long as he sticks to his word.

HI,

He does not do it often.

He asked me what the difference is when I am out.

I told him that he and I are different. He manages fine without me when I am gone. I am disturbed when he has gone out.

As long as he gives me me a time and sticks to it, I will be fine.

Dear Mari

that is a clear explanation of your feelings. and it was good to point out that you two are different in the same situation. i hope it helps him to be more forthcoming in the homecoming department.

Bizi,
He tells me he is running late and then he runs much later. His friend's place is 12 minutes from here.

Hubby can learn to make accommodations for me.

I have jokingly told my hubby that I'm going to change the locks
on our front door if he doesn't start getting together on a time span
of when he is going to get home.

He is much better than he used to be. Because of all the houses
we own. He has been out working on them at all hours some nights before.

So Its been a thing for us.

But I've locked the security lock a few times and he has had to beat
on the door till I am willing to unlock it.

He did get the message then.
