Thanks for the hopeful message! And I'm really glad too... When i saw those neuros in THE best headache center in my area (and got screamed at) she shook her head at topamax... and left me to keep paying out of pocket... sigh. The gabapentin was working very well though at the time and I tolerated it well. So i can sort of understand "if it ain't broke don't fix it" especially as I had no side effects and gabapentin has a really safe interactions profile. But no excuse for the yelling, lol, nor for lack of official paperwork to show my doc.

Not sure if my topiramate would be generic or what - i only saw one brand listed... depending when it got introduced here it may still be under patent. Regardless, even with my generics I always get the same ones and there is no mistaking them since everything is boxed by the manufacturer. i sure hope it works.

I also have this secret hope that it will make me lose weight! It does that to a lot of people, at least initially. Initially is all i need... a good 20-30 lbs off and i'm SET! :D:D:D heehee. I hope it doesn't give me the nausea though. I've heard some horrid reports from others starting it... nausea andthensome, like couldn't keep food down...:Noooo: (Icko way to lose weight!)

Thank you for the chat, Bizi, always enjoy talking with you.:hug::hug: I went to sleep after closing the windows at sunup, and indeed woke up without a headache (10 am). I may nap later or not depending whether I'm tired... and whether I need to prep things for dinner.

I don't know if I'm out of the woods yet, migraine-wise, as I'm having a rather bad bout of nausea... that tends to show up early on or before i even have pain sometimes. But hope is the last to die so I'm having my coffee now and pinches of ginger to counteract the nausea and hoping that will be that! LOL.

Dear Waves,

I hope that you are migraine free today.
