After sleeping in until 10am I got up. Hubby left early this am to help out with a jazz competition. Having packed my gym bag last night I was already to go this morning. So went to the gym and only did 30 minutes total instead of 35. I had only eaten a yogurt and was feeling weak. I ate a good lunch of a hamburger pattie with cheese and tomatoes and a big bowl of broccoli and some ranch dressing. Home by 1 pm.
Hubby called he would not be home until 2 so I made several work phone calls until he came home.
We then went to the festival. Listened to some great music. Ate the crawfish and spinach bread bowl, just did not eat the bread, they could not just let me have a bowl of the stuff. Anyway it was delicious! Later on I had another chicken on a stick kebob. That was good.
The festival is always fun to people watch. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, don't know if we will go or not. I am tired, think we will watch an episode of downton abbey! Remained alcohol free but had some really strong urges today.

wanted to give you several pats on the back for keeping up your health program thus far. i am glad you are finally being rewarded by the numbers on the scale. and you've only got 2 days left to make the AF April goal, too. that's excellent! (((hugs)))

I had the best dinner tonight.
WE ate at Jason's deli. They have a wonderful salad bar.
I had: spinach, sweet red peppers, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, broccoli, sesame seeds, Balsamic vinegar and olive oil, and a couple of tablespoons of humus along with 2 hard boiled eggs on the side. I also had a cup of chicken chili which was very good.
Great dinner and so healthy!

That is delicious and with lots of protein and veggies. The chicken chili was probably satisfying. Soup is good.

We have a Jason's Deli near me but I have not been because it is in a weird location --- the parking set up is impossible. Still, maybe I should try it on a slow weekday afternoon or something.

Their salad bar is always fresh and they have some organic produce on there as well. They serve half a sandwich and a side of salad for around $7. I think...so it is reasonable. the salad bar by itself is $7.80. The humus is a sort of red pepper(not spicy) variety and their crackers are to die for.(very hearty and they even have pumpkin seeds on them.) Hubby always sneaks some out. They have self serve ice cream complimentary. Their sandwiches are large and they just started serving smaller sizes as an option. Be forewarned they have the largest stuffed baked potatoes imaginable.
WE eat there about once a month.
If you try it I think you would like it.

very proud of myself today, I actually cleaned some areas of the house: the utility room, swept the floor and completely cleaned out the kitty box which is always a large task. scrubed some spots on the floor. Cleaned off my bathroom counter moved everything off and wiped it all down. cleaned the kitchen sink, used clr to remove some calcium deposits on the sprayer and some on the sink as well. Elbow grease works best on some areas.
Pine sol makes thing smell so clean!

up t0 150 this am.
I am very discouraged this morning. The scale was up to where I was two weeks ago. every day it seemed this week to go up a pound. I know that I over indulged at the festival but not that much. I wonder if something else is going on. I have been trying to eat healthy, and not obsess over calorie counting. But maybe I am eating more than I thought. Need to really pay attention to what I am eating and snacking on. I was only snacking on almonds and pecans, I know they are high calorie dense so maybe that is the reason. I have remained alcohol free this month for the weight loss promises that I made myself. But that has not happened like I like.any way I guess 6 pounds loss isince march 19th is better than a gain. I looked back at my records, cards that I have recorded my weights and measurements from years ago over time. My measurements are all up alot and I am up 25 pounds since 12-10. very depressing.
I am discouraged today.
