Had an episode
Good morning. I was diagnosed with BP I when I got TBI IN 2011. My sister has BPII and so does a a great aunt. We had horrid storms in VA last week on the 29th of Jul. my power went out and I got very anxious that I wouldn't be able to cool down or keep my service dog cool but I didn't want to leave the safety of my house. After 24 hrs, the power came on. Whew. Nothing compared to what some are dealing with. My neighbors power went out again and was out for 48 hours so I have 5 people here. My social worker is moving to a different hospital, my doctors are on vacation and I could just feel the anxiety mounting. I was forgetting stuff, couldn't recall what I did in the morning by the afternoon, stuttering alot...anyway, I emailed all my docs and they said I could got to the ER. I thought about it and went to my parents ( they love me but don't get it). I came home and went to bed. I woke up yesterday, same thing- anxiety...went to the ER. They put me on seroquil in addition to my trazadone, depakote, lexapro, buspar, and something else, can't recall. I feel like I ran a hundred mile race yesterday and the day before. I am not sure why this episode happened but it did. Do you think it was the stress of the storm, company? I am exhausted and scared it will happen again and afraid of gaining wt on seroquil.
