I have seen the commercial on TV for that med, is it otc or prescription?

My p-doc has me on Klonapin 3x a day if needed, one in am, one at noon, and two at bedtime.

I usually only take the 2 at bedtime along with my trazadone and it works.

I only take the klonapin during the day if I get upset or anxiety kicks in.

Maybe your p-doc could up your klonapin at night.

Hugs, Nikko

So many people can't sleep. One of the many I tried but all it did was give me a headache and I couldn't sleep because of that.

I wish I had some Pixie dust too Bizi. I hope you sleep well tonight.

Red face

I am amazed at how manyof us have sleeping problems.
Why can't we jsut sleep like normal folks ya know..jsut get tired and go to bed and sleep.
rozeram is a prescription pill similar to melatonin, that never worked for me but my pdoc said it was different because it worked on the receptor sights.
anyway than you for you kind words....
curious 3 hours is all you get...how the heck do you do that?
also girlie,
I would love some of PJ's magic pixie dust...has anyone heard from her?????

Dear Bizi,
The talk on the crazymeds boards seems to say that Rozerem takes a week or two to start working.
http://www.crazymeds.org/cgi-bin/yab...=1174386398/10

Quote:
Rozerem is not a sedative, so, livingproof is right, it's not going to make you sleepy right away. After you take it consistently for a week or two, it will (supposedly) reset your circadian rhythms so that you fall asleep more easily. The only thing it's supposed to help with is insomnia that's characterized by difficulty falling asleep. If your issue is with disrupted sleep, or waking up too early, you're out of luck, it's not meant to help with that.
If your pdoc doesn't know about this time to "kick-in," maybe you could just telephone the manufacturer.

I hope you sleep.
Mari

thanks Mari,
sounds just like melatonin!!!!!
which I told her did not work for me....

bizi
the starter pack came with ear plugs and a eye mask of sorts...I tried using them last night and hours later when I was still awake I took them out and off.

I've been wondering and wondering the same thing myself. I've always had a hard time sleeping but since my mom passed away it's gotten worse and worse. But I finally think I know what my pdoc was alluding to....lack of sleep can cause mania and maybe explains the fibro. It might also explain the rapid cycling, not sure on this though.

I couldn't sleep again and decided to do some research and found this:

http://bipolar.about.com/cs/sleep/a/0002_mood_sleep.htm

She's known about my lack of sleep so maybe this is what she meant when she said I didn't want to get better since I told her I was "afraid" of the Klonopin and wouldn't take it?? I think I've changed my mind and will try it again.

Thumbs Down Rozeram

Bizi,

That's what they where giving me in the hospital, to no avail. They would pass out meds at 10pm and at 12 if you were'nt sleeping they would give you another. Plus Haldol! Has the world turns, I take ambein, it stinks I have to get off it. To many addiction problems. They had me Trazadone but I could'nt make it out of bed the next day, to druggie feeling.. Hope you get relief.

Funeral was yesterday for my friend; "what a day". Her parents I spent allot of time with, told me; I had to move on and put it behind me. Like everything here easier said than done, but in my heart of hearts I know their right..
