Heart Just learned a Very Good Friend

I just learned a very good Friend has 3 to 6 months to live. She has a form of
cancer. That they thought they had it. And its back. I'm not exactly even
sure what exactly she has.

It really has struck me. I have so few real live friends in my life.
And when I get them its like. They stay a while and leave.
This one is one of my PSV's which means she has been trained
to help other parents.

She wanted trained so bad, she went looking for the first available
training.

I am working to see how I can help her with the things she has always
done for the kids with special needs in her family.
She has 3 or 4 parties a year. And also does a getting these kids
to the prom. Another friend of mine. Found out about this before
me and has stepped up first. To tell her she will make sure the legacy
is going on this year.

Then we will have to make sure it carries on.
The biggest problem will be making sure we have the money to carry
it on.

Her husband had left her. And then he filed for a divorce right around
Thanksgiving. And she has 4 kids at home. 3 with Special Needs.

1 that has some significant needs.

Not sure how her parents are going to handle them. If we cant help
her beat this.

Thats the plan.
thanks for letting me post.

Donna

Heart I'm sorry

Dear Donna

I'm so sorry!

How awful about losing your friend, and so suddenly. I wish it just weren't happening.

I admire your positive mind-set of how you can honor her by providing a legacy for her. She is fortunate to have friends like you. It sounds like you are each blessings to one another.

I feel really bad for your friend's general situation too. Cancer is a weird disease. After reading "Love, Medicine and Miracles," a book on cancer survival by Bernie Siegel, i can't help wondering if the whole dumping/divorce thing contributed to her sudden illness.

I hope her days are peaceful. I am sure it helps to have you and the other friend support her, and assure her that her family will be taken care of. I am also confident you will find a way to see it through Donna, monies and all. You are so resourceful. Or maybe a way will find you, because you and your friend deserve it.

Donna, I am so sorry

Like waves said, I pray that a way opens up for her children to be cared for and her wishes carried out.

Donna I am so saddened by this news for you. I am praying her for her family, those with special needs, her parents....I hope her ex steps up and becomes a man they need emotionally for the children's sake.
Hugs for you,
Di
