you are also still smart. That much I am sure of. the fact you can work hard and "come off normal" says a LOT. they person i talked about before also had longterm and short-term wiped... the scenario you mentinoned in posting was similar for this person. gosh i really wish i could hook you guys up - he is so positive and has struggled so hard... not to mention he knows LOTTTS of tips and trix! But you will be ok... as he was... he is smart also, and that is how he came up with all the tips and trix... you have already done so with your lists etc...and they are working. gradually you will be able to optimize more, also hopefully your medical team will be able to help you treat some of the more difficult stuff. hang in there. we're here to cheer you on! ~ waves ~ |

Hi Guys,
I am returned from my appointment. She cut it short today because I am in so much pain from the seizure I had the other day. Woke up with my right arm paralyzed. I hurt my neck when I had the seizure and the pain from the neck went down my back into my right arm and made it so I could barely move it for most the day but I am good now. She wants to see me one more time before she gives her report. I was able to get her to tell me she sees the problem and will be helpful to me to get disability. Yeah! She also said she wants the most accurate results from the testing as possible so she can refer me to the right kind of help. Therefore she did not want to do too much with me being at a pain level 8 and a half. She tells me I am very bright and have a wonderful sense of humor. That is nice to know. I have to have a sense of humor or I would of completely lost it years ago. But at least I know I have a sense of humor in this new person. that is good. How are you all doing today? Ginnie? Waves? DiMarie? Bizi? Mari (wise elder)? I remembered all those names without looking it up so if I left anybody out it is just the brain damage I care about your day too. Tell me what is going on with you all. Anyone having a bad day? Manic? Depression? Hope all is well. Much love to you all Brain

Bizi,
Two days without sleep? You have got to sleep. Do you have any ambian? Benzo? Melatonin? Whiskey? Anything at this point. You need sleep. Do you know how to meditate? Take a nice hot bath then put on some meditation music and do some deep breathing and just concentrate on your breathing in and out one and two. Poor girl. No sleep is the worst. It seems like the more you go without sleep the harder it is to sleep so don't try too hard. It will come. Sending sleepy vibrations your way. Brain

Wow, its been quite a while since I've read this report from you.
I have a brain injury too. And at times I am not good with long reports. But mainly I've been busy with my job lately. So not around. But you are amazing, and will recover it takes time. I have had multiple concussions too. And it just has taken me time to recover. And at times I notice I'm still not there completely. So I totally understand. And really hope this made sense. Donna |

Donna,
Thank you so much. It makes total sense to me. Thanks for the encouragement. It is so scary having your memory wiped and trying to really become a new person? Does that make sense to you? I am glad to hear that recovery does take place it is just very slow. I must admit I am doing better than I was a few years back. I am not terrified anymore. What a challenge though. Good luck to you. Keep in touch. Brain
